Daniel is an award-winning composer and musician. He holds a Master's degree in Music Composition from the distinguished School of Music at the University of Northern Colorado, where he studied film composing with award-winning film composer and USC-alum Ludek Drizhal.

 

Daniel has worked with directors and producers such as David Henrie (How I Met Your Mother; The Wizards of Waverly Place), Sebastian Siegel (Lost; Hawaii Five-O), Lukas Behnken (Grey's Anatomy; Mully), Lorenzo Henrie (Fear the Walking Dead; Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Jonathan Flora (Lt. Dan Band; Whose Children Are They) and David J. Stern (The Forgiving).

In 2019, Daniel scored the Winner for Best Feature Film (Maryland International Film Festival), The Forgiving, directed by David J. Stern and starring John Gerard Healy and Emily Classen. More recently, he composed the song Beneath the Folding Stars for Sebastian Siegel, used in the trailer for his critically-acclaimed feature, Grace and Grit.

In 2020, Daniel was a Top Ten Finalist in the California Independent Film Festival for his score for the short film I'll Be Here.

In 2021 and 2022, for two consecutive years, Daniel received the award for Most Outstanding Composition Student for his work in the Master's program in the School of Music at the University of Northern Colorado.

Daniel regularly performs on voice, trumpet, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and piano. He works from his studio in Colorado and travels often to Los Angeles. He is also an affiliate Professor of Music at Colorado Christian University, where he teaches classes in music theory, performance, and church music.

When Daniel is not composing or teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys playing games, watching movies, and hiking. Daniel also loves long runs in nature and enjoying hours of conversation with friends and family over good food and drink.
