Daniel E. Wakefield to score "The Forgiving"
04.11.2019

The feature film "The Forgiving" is now in full post-production mode, with the score looking to be delivered by Daniel sometime at the start of Summer '19. Director David Stern has a strong vision for this powerful story: "Here is a film that embodies Samuel Beckett’s notion, 'I can’t go on, I’ll go on.' Hard, is an understatement, but wholly possible and ultimately vital. The Forgiving is an emotional exploration that gives us hope in the harsh reality of tragedy."

According to Wakefield, the score embodies the "simplicity and complexity of our stories, reflected in the story of Avi, as characters and emotions and identity rise and swerve and weave their way through our time on earth." Utilizing primarily cello and piano, the music captures longing melody and moving dissonance, carrying us on uncertain waves to the emotional, cathartic ending of "The Forgiving."
